Lens Thickness Studio

What it does

• Twelve real frame shapes, derived from 1,458 frame traces from practices like yours, not generic ovals. Or load your own tracer file.
• A 3D lens you can turn, coloured by thickness, so the patient sees the edge rather than hearing a number.
• Every material side by side, from CR39 through to 1.74, with edge thickness, centre thickness and weight for each.
• Two frames compared, which settles the question of whether a different frame would be kinder to the prescription.
• A printed report on two A4 pages, with the frame plan at true size, to hand to the patient.

What it costs

Nothing, and there is no catch. It works on any computer or tablet with a browser, it installs to the desktop if you want it to, and returning visitors can open it without filling in the form again. An internet connection is required.

Patient privacy

If you save a calculation against a patient name, that file is written to your own computer and nowhere else. Nothing about a patient is sent to Deepcove, stored by us, or leaves the practice.
